Supporting Show Cattle Mobility with Targeted MagnaWave PEMF Sessions

For show cattle, comfortable movement matters.

When a show cow experienced a mild stifle injury just weeks before an upcoming show, MagnaWave Practitioner Julia Weaber and her team incorporated targeted PEMF sessions into the cow’s routine to support comfort, circulation, mobility, and recovery.

At the time, the cow was limping and not bearing weight normally, with approximately three weeks remaining before the show.

Building a MagnaWave Routine Around the Animal

Julia’s team works with MagnaWave across several states and uses machines including the Julian, Julian Duo, and Sol Pro.

For this cow, Julia provided approximately 20-minute sessions around setting 4 each day for the two weeks leading up to the show. During the first five days, the cow received two 20-minute sessions per day.

The large loop is the attachment Julia’s team uses most frequently with cattle, although they occasionally use the Wave Wings as well.

Progress Isn’t Always a Straight Line

One of the most valuable parts of Julia’s story is her transparency.

She reported seeing good progress as the show approached but also noted that the cow “got a little worse before it got better.”

Julia also emphasizes that stifle injuries can vary considerably in severity. More serious situations may require substantially more time, and returning to the show ring isn’t always the primary objective. Sometimes the more appropriate goal is simply supporting comfortable movement and production.

That distinction matters.

PEMF isn’t about promising a particular outcome or putting every animal on the exact same protocol. Practitioners can adjust sessions based on the individual animal, its response, and its overall care plan.

MagnaWave for Show Cattle

MagnaWave has applications far beyond the equine world. Livestock owners and practitioners can incorporate PEMF into wellness and conditioning routines to support the natural processes associated with circulation, mobility, and recovery.

For show cattle in particular, maintaining overall wellness and comfortable movement can be an important part of preparation throughout the season.

As Julia puts it:

“We have seen great success with MagnaWave on stifled cattle!”

Her experience is one practitioner’s field observation rather than a controlled study, but stories like this help show the many ways MagnaWave practitioners are working with livestock in the real world.
