A Low-and-Slow Approach to MagnaWave PEMF for Newborn Animals

Some of the smallest animals can require the gentlest approach.

MagnaWave Practitioner Julia Weaber has incorporated PEMF into the wellness routines of newborn calves, lambs, and piglets that are slow to thrive, including animals born prematurely, at a low birth weight, or following a difficult delivery.

Her approach?

Low and slow.

Gentle PEMF for Young Animals

Because these animals are so young, Julia keeps MagnaWave settings very low.

When using a Sol Pro, she reports using setting 1. With the Julian, she uses setting 2.

Rather than making the experience complicated, she often places the large loop over or underneath the newborn while it rests on a warming pad.

Sessions are approximately 10 minutes long.

Julia describes it as a low-stress, “lay it down and leave it” approach.

For animals that are already resting and conserving their energy, that simplicity can make MagnaWave easy to incorporate alongside their normal husbandry routine.

Supporting More Than One Species

One of the most interesting aspects of Julia’s experience is that she has used the same general low-and-slow approach across multiple species.

Calves.

Lambs.

Piglet litters.

Julia reports using this gentle method to support many young animals as they move toward thriving.

She has also incorporated MagnaWave with dams following difficult labor. Her reported approach includes placing the large loop or Wave Wings over the appropriate area to support recovery.

MagnaWave as Part of Newborn Wellness

Newborn animals that are struggling require appropriate husbandry and, when needed, veterinary attention.

PEMF doesn’t replace those essentials.

Instead, MagnaWave can be incorporated as a complementary modality focused on general wellness, circulation, and recovery. Julia’s experiences represent practitioner observations across multiple animals rather than the results of a measured clinical study.

Her story also demonstrates something we love about MagnaWave: its versatility.

From full-grown performance horses and cattle to tiny newborn livestock, practitioners can adjust their approach according to the animal in front of them.

Newborn animals should remain under appropriate veterinary and husbandry care. Individual results vary. MagnaWave PEMF supports the body’s natural processes and is not intended to treat or cure disease or replace veterinary care.
