The Edge Canine and Equine Solutions

The Edge Canine and Equine Solutions

Claudia Lukason has worked in the canine and equine industry for over 25 years and has witnessed firsthand what the healing hand can do for the canine and equine athlete. Her desire to become an active participant in providing relief and comfort to the performance horse and working canine inspired her to obtain her training and certifications. She has worked collaboratively with farriers and veterinarians to address the needs of the canine or equine. The Edge provides a multilayered solution approach to your equine and canine issues, based on a consultation/diagnosis by qualified, experienced, and credentialed staff. Claudia attended and received her Certifications in Equine (ESMT) and Canine Sports Massage Therapy (CSMT) at the internationally accredited Equissage® School in Round Hill, Virginia. In providing bodywork to canines and equines she realized she was missing “The Edge” in the service she was providing. It wasn’t until she attended a clinic in Aguila, Arizona where she was introduced and received the first hand benefit of PEMF. It was then that she realized that she found “The Edge” that she was missing and decided to pursue her small animal, large animal, as well as human certifications from MagnaWave PEMF. In obtaining these Certifications she has gained a depth in the understanding of anatomy structures and function in both canines and equines. Claudia has owned, ridden and trained numerous barrel racing horses and has competed and participated in local, state and national events. She qualified for the Texas State NBHA Finals in 2003, 2004, 2005 and qualified for the 2004 NBHA Finals in Augusta, GA. She moved to Arizona where she was stationed at the United States Border Patrol, Yuma Sector where she continued to compete in barrel racing throughout Arizona, California and Utah. While stationed in Arizona she began to develop an eye for lameness in equines and canines. She was selected as a canine handler for the USBP Yuma Sector in 2006 and obtained her certification as a United States Border Patrol Canine Instructor in 2009. She held a Staff position from 2009-2014 at the National Canine Facility (Canine Center El Paso) where she was responsible for the selection and training of the working canines. In this position she has trained, evaluated and problem solved over 300 working canines during her tenure. She is also designated as a Certifying Official for the National Narcotic Detection Dog Association. She has traveled throughout the nation and internationally to train and evaluate Narcotics Detection Canines, specializing in the aggressive canine. She has learned through her training and credentials that pain and discomfort can manifest itself as a “behavioral” problem. Through the hands of God It would be her special blessing if you provide her the opportunity to bring health and healing to your canine and equine partners (and yourself too!)
