PEMF Therapy for Endometriosis and Menstrual Pain, will it Help?
Alane Paulley Vice President of Magna Wave PEMF recently hosted Magna Wave’s first Women’s Health webinar diving into important topics such as endometriosis and menstrual pain. And we’re so glad she did. PEMF therapy for Endometriosis and menstrual pain is definitely a yes try it!
What is Endometriosis?
Endometriosis is the abnormal growth of cells similar to those that form inside of the uterus, growing outside of the uterus. That growth may present with symptoms, it may not, and it has many side effects. Endometriosis is diagnosed via surgery and you should absolutely see a doctor to determine what is best for you. But if you are a woman suffering with her period every month whether you have endometriosis or not, PEMF therapy may benefit you.
Symptoms and side- effects of endometriosis may include:
- Painful periods: Pelvic pain and cramping may begin before your period and extend several days into your period. You may also have lower back and abdominal pain.
- Pain with bowel movements or urination. You’re most likely to experience these symptoms during your period.
- Excessive bleeding: You may experience occasional heavy periods or bleeding between periods.
- Infertility: Endometriosis is often first diagnosed in some women who are seeking treatment for infertility.
- Diarrhea or constipation
- Nausea (especially during menstrual periods)
Why Does PEMF Therapy Work for Endometriosis and Menstrual Pain?
What has been determined is that the cause of the pain is basically swelling everywhere in the body, some type of inflammation or swelling caused by these cells, or from your regular PMS issues. That’s what’s causing your discomfort every month. PEMF Therapy works to reduce swelling, pain and inflammation by improving oxygenated blood flow. That’s what PEMF does. It makes sense to apply PEMF therapy for endometriosis and menstrual pain when they’re based on these very aspects!
PEMF Therapy for Endometriosis and Menstrual Pain can help with:
- Menstrual Cramping
- Retaining Water
- Migraine Headaches or Just Headaches
What is the Protocol When It Comes to PEMF Therapy for Endometriosis and Menstrual Pain?
Alane typically does a thirty-minute session using the Magna Wave Maxx starting on the lowest setting and gradually increasing as she determines what is comfortable for her (this will be different for everyone). She uses either the butterfly or large loop across her pelvic area for ten minutes, then across her back for ten minutes, then five minutes on each leg. If she’s coping with a migraine or headache or is having trouble sleeping she uses the loop as high as she can (comfortably) on either side of her head and on her feet for about 10 minutes each. Yes, treat the bottom of your feet for headaches! Alane compares it to a spa treatment.
