Magna Wave PEMF Therapy with Chemotherapy
Magna Wave PEMF Therapy with Chemotherapy, Do or Do Not?
Can you provide Magna Wave PEMF therapy with chemotherapy? Well, let’s start with what Magna Wave PEMF therapy does before we explain our protocol with chemo patients. Magna Wave PEMF therapy speeds up cell metabolism, by improving oxygenation of the bloodstream. Therefore, in turn, anything chemical that has been put into the body prior to Magna Wave PEMF therapy, for example, medication, supplements, alcohol- whatever it is, more of that might be absorbed into the body because the metabolism is up.
Why Is Metabolism and Absorption Relevant?
If someone is actively receiving chemotherapy and they’re taking the medication, or the medication is being administered, we don’t want to administer Magna Wave PEMF therapy at that point. Increasing metabolization may also increase the side effects, causing further discomfort. What we recommend is that we wait for anything that might be enhanced to be digested and processed before Magna Wave PEMF therapy.
Cancer patients sometimes become sick while on chemotherapy, because of the poison that they’re putting into their system to kill the tumor or kill the cancer cells. We don’t want to increase the side effects. So, what we recommend, when someone is undergoing chemotherapy and they’d like to use Magna Wave PEMF therapy for pain relief, relaxation or anything else afterward, is to wait for chemotherapy to be completed. Give it a day or so to process through the system. We don’t want to enhance side effects of chemotherapy from use of the Magna Wave PEMF therapy.
When to Offer Magna Wave PEMF Therapy with Chemotherapy
A few days post chemotherapy, you can then begin with PEMF therapy. Often, people receive a two-week regimen or a week-long regimen of Magna Wave PEMF therapy, then they take a week or two off, before they come back and receive Magna Wave PEMF therapy again. We’ve had people use Magna Wave PEMF therapy between treatments for pain for whatever their situation may be.
Chemotherapy is One Thing, Radiation is Another
Radiation therapy is a different story, because radiation is directly administered to the specific site. Therefore, once the process is complete, if someone wants to utilize Magna Wave PEMF therapy for pain relief, relaxation or improved sleep, they can do so.
Why Use Magna Wave PEMF Therapy?
As we mentioned before, Magna Wave PEMF therapy stimulates cell metabolism. By improving cell metabolism, a chain reaction begins. Cells produce energy called Adenosine Triphosphate, otherwise known as ATP. ATP is essential to the body, building up and breaking down molecules, transporting substances over cell membranes. To produce this energy, cells need oxygen, enzymes, glucose, and nutrients. Cells are busy bees, in addition to oxygen, they produce carbon dioxide, water, and waste. By improving cell metabolism, the theory is that we help the body to heal itself or to stay healthy.
With regards to chemotherapy patients, Magna Wave PEMF therapy may:

Magna Wave PEMF therapy is a great non-invasive, non-toxic, complimentary modality to many treatments. However, you should always talk to your doctor before making any changes to your regimen.
