Hands-On Training
Come meet our Education Department! Every Friday in May-October MagnaWave hosts Hands-On Training in Louisville, Ky. These optional training sessions allow Certified Practitioners from all over the country to receive one-on-one guidance from our experts using the MagnaWave equipment.
The first half of the day, we take our practitioners to a local retired racehorse facility called Second Stride, where we walk through multiple equine MagnaWave sessions, explaining what to look for and answering practitioner questions.
After a quick lunch, the second half of the day is spent at the MagnaWave office, where practitioners can practice a pet session, speak with our sales and marketing teams about our other services, and test out attachments and machines.
Second Stride
MagnaWave is a proud sponsor of Second Stride, a national equine adoption program. Second Stride offers professional rehabilitation and retraining for retired racehorses and broodmares. Their goal is to give these thoroughbreds a second chance at a career or the opportunity to retire in a safe and loving home. Since 2005, they have re-homed more than 1,500 thoroughbreds.
During Hands-On Training, practitioners get to work on Second Stride horses and learn to address their various issues. Practitioners can see common horse-related injuries and conditions, while also helping these horses in the rehabilitation process. All Second Stride horses are available for adoption!
