In a recent MagnaWave Q & A, CEO Pat Ziemer was asked about controlling frequencies on MagnaWave machines. Are MagnaWave frequencies controllable? What is the variance in frequencies on MagnaWave machines? What is the lowest and the highest frequency on the machine? Is the signal adjustable in between? Are there different levels? There was a lot of information to share and Pat was ready with thorough answers.


Before we dive into his Q & A and find out, “Are MagnaWave Frequencies Controllable,” let’s add a few vocabulary words to the mix. In Pat’s answers to these questions he references a term one might not hear every day. The term Gauss. But what is Gauss?

Abbreviated as G or Gs, Gauss is the cgs unit of measurement of magnetic flux density (or “magnetic induction”). Gauss is equal to one ten-thousandth of a tesla.

Well then, Gauss is a form of measurement. But, what is magnetic induction? It is the production of an electromotive force (think voltage) across an electrical conductor in a changing magnetic field.


Now that we understand Gauss and magnetic induction, let’s add frequency to the mix. Pat has mentioned that his most commonly asked questions are about frequency and, are MagnaWave frequencies controllable. Frequency has two definitions. First, frequency is the rate at which something occurs, or is repeated over a particular period of time or in a given sample. For instance, how often do you get a hair-cut, fill up your gas tank, go to work, or feed your cat?

Frequency has a second definition as well. Frequency is the rate at which a vibration occurs that constitutes a wave, either in a material (like sound waves), or in an electromagnetic field (such as radio waves and light), usually measured per second.


In a MagnaWave machine, the frequency is the rate of delivery (which is heard in the click). A fast rate on a MagnaWave machine is a lower power signal. It’s true that a low voltage and low frequency machine can achieve the same results as the high-power units, but those results are slower to come. Some MagnaWave sessions are started out on high power to get them to a maintenance point, then switch to lower. MagnaWave takes you from the lowest power available to something much higher, so pain and inflammation are rapidly reduced. A low power machine cannot usually achieve such significant results in the same span of time.


Q: Please tell us about the variance in frequencies on MagnaWave machines. What is the lowest and the highest frequency on a MagnaWave machine?

A: Mr. Ziemer replies, “These are great questions, because people will give you all types of answers on various machines. This is because they have different ways of adjusting their power levels, or their delivery of energy. We’re providing an energy signal that goes into the body and we want to do it comfortably.”

He goes on to elaborate, with MagnaWave high voltage devices, the delivery of energy can be felt, so you want it to be comfortable. He says, “On the low voltage, low frequency devices, you don’t often feel anything, so they’ll set their levels anywhere from up to 50 or maybe a 100 gauss on some of those machines. On MagnaWave machines you’re talking 10,000 gauss or better. You’ve got a big difference there, so you can regulate it up and down. But people want to feel it. We deliver energy that can be felt, but we want it to be felt comfortably as it’s delivered.”

Q: Is the signal adjustable? Are there different levels? Are MagnaWave frequencies controllable?

A: All MagnaWave frequencies are controllable in one way or another. The Semi has low, medium and high settings. The frequency is the speed of the signal release and is controllable between that.

Analog machines, the spark chamber machines, like the Semi are spring controlled, so you turn the dial to achieve the clicking speed (or the intensity) that you’re comfortable with, or that the client is comfortable with. Set it there and provide MagnaWave.

The Maia device is adjustable from 1 to 10 so you can put it on 1, being the fastest clicking speed and the lowest intensity, or you can put it on 10 which clicks about once per second, which is the highest intensity and the slowest frequency. “It can be confusing,” says Mr. Ziemer. “You might think that the highest frequency would also have the highest click rate, but that’s not true. It looks like the highest frequency is the faster because it’s clicking very fast, yet that is the lowest intensity.”


We often associate with the biggest being the best. However, with the highest MagnaWave frequency setting that’s not necessarily the case.
